To better serve you, we collect personal information and non-personal information for a variety of business purposes.
- "Personal Information” is information that could reasonably relate, describe, or identify you.

- Inferences: such as transaction behavior, buying trends and preferences based on styles purchased and returned or from communications made with customer service or in-store personnel
- Professional & Educational Information: Applicable only to those that submit employment applications, which may include education, employment history, current employer, and other professional information included in resumes, cover letters, CVs, etc.
We collect information from a variety of sources, such as:
- Big Star newsletter subscriber or text promotion subscriber
- Registration & Account information, including login, e-mail, password, account settings & preferences, address book, saved items, etc.
- Contact Information (e.g. Name (real or alias), e-mail, telephone number, shipping & billing addresses)
- Payment information & verification
- Note that while we facilitate the collection of payment card data, the information is securely transmitted directly to our payment gateway service providers. We never receive or store credit card information.

- Pixel Tags: Pixel Tags is a 1-pixel x 1-pixel transparent image that is place in an e-mail or Site in combination of cookies to track browsing history or opened our Big Star newsletter e-mail.

- Essential Cookies: These cookies are essential for enabling user movement around this Site and providing access to features such as your profile and purchases, member-only resources, adding to cart, and access to other secure areas of this Site. Any opt-out by you is not deemed valid until processed by us. It is your obligation to verify that you have been opted-out. Please note that any request to be removed from such mailing lists may take up to ten (10) business days to become effective. Even if you are removed from any such list, if you order online, then we will send you an email confirming your order, tracking, etc. and may need to contact you by phone, email, or regular mail if we have questions about your order.

- Right to Deletion

- Right to Stop the Sharing (“Selling”) of your Personal Information (“Do Not Share My Personal Info”)
- You have the right to say no to the sale of your personal information. Sale is defined very broadly in the CCPA and encompasses the “sharing” of your information with third parties. We do not sell your information for monetary gain, but we may share your information with third parties like Google, Facebook, PayPal, and Apple Pay.

We allow California residents to exercise their rights under the CCPA, including rights that require a verifiable request, up to twice a year.
To begin a CCPA verifiable request, we will need to verify that you are human, that you reside in California, and that you are you. Therefore, we will at a minimum require you name, e-mail address (or phone number), and qualifying statement confirming that you are a California resident. In certain cases and as permitted by law, we will allow authorized agents to submit a request on your behalf.

Once your request is verified, then we will begin processing your request, which may take up to 45 days or an additional length of time allowed under the CCPA.
Alternatively, if you do not have an e-mail, then you can reach out to our customer service at 877-564-7036, Mon. - Fri., 8am to 6pm PST and specify the nature of your verifiable request as follows: CCPA Right to Know, CCPA Right to Access, CCPA Right to Deletion. At a minimum, Customer Service will require your name, phone number, and California residency confirmation. Shortly after receiving your request and for those rights requiring verification, the designated person in our Customer Service will contact you via phone to complete the verification process. Once your request is verified, then we will begin processing your request, which may take up to 45 days or an additional length of time allowed under the CCPA.
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers. When a user turns on the DNT signal, the browser sends a message to Sites requesting them not to track the user. At this time, we do not recognize or respond to DNT browser settings or signals and we will still receive information. As a result, we may still collect information about you and your internet activity, even if you have turned on the DNT signal.
However, you can adjust your browser settings to restrict Cookies. Also, it is possible that some or all of our third-party advertising partners or members of their affiliate network may participate in a consumer opt-out programs.

We do not exchange your Personal Information for money with anyone so that they can license or sell the Personal Information to additional parties.
On May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) became the legal authority on the processing of personal data for Site users located in the European Economic Area ("EEA"), which includes the European Union (“EU”). Also, the United Kingdom incorporated the GDPR with the Data Protection Act 2018. Currently, we do not offer or sell goods to individuals located in the EEA and therefore GDPR does not apply. As stated in our Terms & Conditions, this Site is a general audience website for adults over the age of majority in their state of residence.
